WOLFORD BUILT HOME
SELECTED FOR NATIONAL
TV COMMERCIAL
Ron Wolford, Rick Pitino and
Christian Laettner Team Up

The personal home of Ron Wolford of Wolford Built Homes was selected to stage a commercial last Thursday for the Coca Cola owned brand Vitamin Water. The Wolford Built Home was the perfect setting to recreate "THE SHOT"  (a well remembered moment in basket ball history), with it's high ceilings, open floor plan and luxurious accoutrements. The commercial was shot in the master bath, open living spaces and gourmet kitchen as Christian Laettner follows Rick Pitino around the posh Wolford Built, shooting a basketball over his head.

Former Duke star Christian Laettner, hit the game-winning shot against Kentucky in the 1992 East Regional against Kentucky. Laettner endeared himself to UK fans that day by hitting the game-winner with 2.1 seconds to play, making all 10 of his field goals, all 10 of his free throws and stepping on the chest of UK forward Aminu Timberlake.

Duke won the game against Jamal Mashburn, Richie Farmer, John Pelphrey and the rest of the Wildcats, 104-103, in overtime in Philadelphia, in a game many consider the greatest NCAA Tournament game ever played.

Pitino played Laettner's next-door neighbor in the commercial which featured the exterior of another Wolford Built Home. Ron Wolford was pleased to have his homes selected and agreed with Patino's statement "It was fun. It's going to be a great commercial."

The taping took place last Thursday in the upscale Spring Farm Place neighborhood in Prospect, Kentucky. The commercial is expected to air during the NCAA Tournament. Vitamin Water has become a sponsor of the NCAA Tournament this season.

LOCAL HOMEBUILDER ACHEIVES RECORD SALES IN DECEMBER

At a time when the news is full of doom and gloom, one Louisville homebuilder, Ron Wolford of Wolford Built Homes remains optimistic. Perhaps that is due to his record sales of over $5.5 million for the month of December, 2008. Ron attributes his success to the trust he has built in the marketplace. When public trust in investments is at an all time low, a home buyer knows that a Wolford Built Home is always a sound investment. Those in the luxury home market have been hit especially hard as real estate, stocks and other investment values continue to plunge. Ron started his career in 1974 and today Wolford Built Homes dominates the luxury home market in Louisville with capturing a staggering 41% of luxury (over $1m) new home construction sales in the least three years (as reported by the Greater Louisville Board of Realtors.) Ron's optimism continues to grow as he focuses on his latest projects in Harrods Glen-, including a unique 5 bedroom $2.6 million universal lifestyle design. Ron states, "I have specifically created the perfect home for the sandwich generation or special needs family". Real Luxury For Real Life

AMERICA'S BEST HOUSING MARKETS
by Francesca Levy, Forbes
February 16, 2010

Like Pittsburgh, Columbus, Ohio, might not jump to mind as one of the country's best cities for housing, but job-rich suburbs surround the city and 87% of middle-income families can afford a home. That combination creates significant pull for homebuyers. Also looking strong is Louisville, Ky., a city whose low foreclosure rate--only 1.15% of homes are in foreclosure, half the national average--illuminates it as one of the cities least affected by this aspect of the dramatic housing market collapse of the past three years. Louisville had less of a market boom than coastal cities and vacation destinations, so it didn't have as far to fall. read more...
